Difficulties of autistic patients
People with autism experience basic difficulties in three developmental areas:
1. Mutual social relations:
They find it difficult to make eye contact and interact with others.
They do not understand feelings and non-verbal expressions.
They prefer to play alone.
2. Language:
They may be late in learning to speak or may not speak at all.
They have difficulty understanding complex language.
They may speak repetitive or unnatural language.
3. Behavior:
They may exhibit repetitive behaviors such as rocking, clapping, or flapping their hands.
They may show extreme sensitivity to noise, light, or touch.
They may experience tantrums or aggressive behavior.
As they get older:
Some people with autism may improve their social and language skills.
They may become better able to integrate into society.
Other difficulties may persist, such as: behavior disorders or communication difficulties.

Some people with autism may display exceptional skills in specific areas.
